1). Are the Get Real Fit exercise programs just for female martial artists?
“No” …the Get Real Fit exercise programs are for all women who want the best of both worlds!
Martial arts have been used for exercise purposes for thousands of years. I combined ancient wisdom with modern methods to bring you ultimate fitness programs.
Get Real Fit is for EVERY female.
2). I just starting exercising, is Box and Burn too tough for me?
A definite “no”… Box and Burn has three levels of training. It has a beginning level, a mid-level and a “make me sweat!” intense level for advanced ladies.
I have used this routine for professional fighters AND senior citizens. The senior citizens love Box and Burn!
3). What is so special about the Get Real Fit exercise programs?
Glad you asked. Our programs are just that... programs. What does that mean? It means that the workouts do more than just make you move. They make you move with a purpose in mind. That purpose is to bring you the best results in the least amount of time. To get you fit fast.
The aerobic programs are special because I combine the benefits of martial arts with currant modern methods bringing you the best of both worlds…the ultimate way to exercise. The East and West brought together by an expert in both fields! I’m not only a fitness expert but also a 3rd Degree Black Belt so you are getting the “real thing” in your training.
The other plus is that during the aerobic workouts co-ordination is not required (two-left feet are fine). You will develop co-ordination as you practice the moves.
The atmosphere is casual and fun while you train with the ladies and me. The girls are real students not models or professional dancers. You will feel right at home with us. No pressure to perform. Laughter heals, so we make sure you get your share of that as well.
The Strength Training DVDs leave out all the guess- work. I do the weight lifting with you! You are not left to wonder what order to do the exercises in or how much weight to start out with …I keep you posted the whole time we train together.
I also keep our time together fun and full of laughter. I am a firm believer in the healing power of humor.
4). How often should I do the Get Real Fit exercise programs?
I designed the aerobic programs to be done two to three times per week. For ideal fitness, you need two to three intense aerobic workouts on non-consecutive days every week. You follow that up by staying active on the other days. You can walk, play with the kids or pets, and or be involved with your favorite sports during your other days.
The Strength Training programs are also needed two to three times per week on non-consecutive days. It is ideal to alternate your days between the two programs, one day using the aerobic program, the next the strength-training program along with your other activities.
5). When you suggest a maximum amount of weight for an exercise in your strength training DVDs, do you mean the max weight per hand or total?
The maximum weight suggestions are per hand. For example, when I say that 15lbs is the maximum I suggest for an exercise, I mean that you should use up to two 15lb weights for a total of 30lbs.
6). Why do you have instructional sections on your aerobic DVDs?
I limit the cueing during the workouts so that you’ll enjoy using them over and over again. The instructional section breaks down the more difficult moves so you can practice them and then be ready to join right in and so if a move is tough you can go back to the instructional section and go over it until you’re comfortable with the move.
7). Why do you tell us to breathe throughout the workouts?
Oxygen gives you energy! It's needed to burn your largest fuel source, fat.
A lot of women hold their breath while exercising. Most of them are not even aware of it. They just get really tired fast and don't know why.
I cue you to remind you to get your oxygen so you can get the most from your workouts.
I hope this has been helpful to you. I am here for you and if you have any questions that have not been covered here, please contact me with your questions. I will be happy to answer them for you.
